Alberto Morillas
Morillas has a deep passion for the Mediterranean Sea and is particularly connected to the scent of citrus, marine notes, and flowers such as jasmine, tuberose, neroli, and orange blossom. He also draws inspiration from gardens, spending much of his time in the family garden in Geneva. Morillas believes that the future of the fragrance industry is promising, as more people are becoming knowledgeable about perfumes and brands are offering diverse narratives around creation.
“Perfumery is a reflection of society. I am the artist who interprets these emotions,” he states.
Morillas has said that creating a fragrance is an art—an intensely personal and creative exercise. He often works on more than twenty different fragrances at any given time and has emphasized the importance of training the nose and building a “scent library” to enhance one’s appreciation of fragrance. Morillas is particularly fond of the rose note, but also enjoys exploring different musks and the scent of orange blossom during the spring in his hometown of Seville.
