How to Parfum
We're delighted to have you as a valued customer and want to ensure you get the most out of your new fragrance. Follow these simple steps to experience the enchanting scent of House of Bō:
Step 1: Unbox Your Perfume
Carefully remove the perfume bottle from its packaging. Take a moment to admire the elegant design and craftsmanship that went into creating your signature scent.
Step 2: Prepare Your Skin
For best results, apply your perfume to clean, moisturized skin. You can also enhance the longevity of the scent by moisturizing with an unscented lotion before application. Or even better, use our Primer, which does just this while nourishing your skin.
Step 3: Choose Your Application Method
There are several ways to apply perfume, depending on your preference and the intensity of fragrance you desire. Our Parfums are meant to be wearable by everyone and anyone, with a buildable sillage and longevity depending on how much you apply, where you apply and how you apply.
RULE OF 3.
Choose a number from 1-3 which will represent how strongly you want your fragrance to smell throughout the day.
1 Being the more subtle.
2 Being average.
3 Being the most intense Sillage.
The number you choose will be THE NUMBER OF TIMES YOU WILL SPRAY on EACH AREA you apply your fragrance. (ie. three sprays on the RIGHT side of the neck)
This process will give you the ability to choose the sillage and longevity you would like to have for that day or special event.
Spritzing: Hold the perfume bottle several inches away from your skin and lightly spritz the fragrance onto pulse points, such as your wrists, neck, and behind your ears.
Dabbing: If you prefer a more subtle application, dab a small amount of perfume onto your fingertips and lightly press it onto your pulse points.
Layering: For a more complex scent profile, consider layering your perfume with complementary fragrances. You can find suggestions for these layering combinations on the product page for each scent.
Step 4: Target Pulse Points
Pulse points are areas of the body where blood vessels are closest to the skin's surface, enhancing the diffusion of fragrance. Concentrate your application on these key areas for maximum impact:
Step 5: Avoid Rubbing
After applying your perfume, resist the urge to rub your skin. This can alter the scent and diminish its longevity. Instead, allow the fragrance to naturally settle and develop on your skin.
Step 6: Reapply as Desired
Depending on the concentration of the perfume and your personal preference, you may choose to reapply throughout the day to maintain the scent's intensity. Experiment with different application techniques and frequencies to find what works best for you.
Step 7: Enjoy the Experience
Indulge your senses in the captivating aroma of your House of Bō perfume. Whether you're heading out for a special occasion or simply want to elevate your everyday routine, let your signature scent inspire confidence and leave a lasting impression.
